Kyn3ticXR, along with Mütex, was one of modula t. worm's original solo music projects, beginning sometime around 2003 or 2004. While Mütex's music consisted of tracks played in real-time using hardware instruments, Kyn3ticXR's music was generally composed in non-real-time using digital audio workstations such as FL Studio and Audacity. Much like with Mütex, most of the music under the Kyn3ticXR name was experimental by necessity to build up an understanding of the medium. Kyn3ticXR differed from Mütex in that it leaned even further in the direction of electronic music, tracks often being much more rhythmic and beat-based, though always retaining an experimental and often silly spirit.

The first release, Default, is likely the most experimental, with many tracks playing with unconventional sequences and parameter automations. EPs De_F@UL7 and ReFault reinterpreted and expanded upon ideas of the initial album, while releases like AES and PLS attempt imitations of artists influential to the project. The project's second and final album (but not final release), Zijl, attempted a more consistent, darker atmosphere.

After the release of Losst, it was decided to retired the project in favor of Krovo, Ostensibly Ossified, and many others intended to be more focused and effortful than Kyn3ticXR's arbitrary experimentation often was.
