Mütex

Mütex logo

Mütex was, along with Kyn3ticXR, one of the first solo music projects started by modula t. worm, originating sometime around the year 2003 or 2004. Being such an early project, its music is highly experimental, often completely improvised, with tracks sometimes including mistakes. Even the recordings themselves; saved as extremely low bitrate (32kbps) mp3, made even more lo-fi by recording via an mp3 player placed on top of the keyboard's built-in speaker.

As of now, all of the project's surviving music has been released, either on the Fraq single (the project's most fully-realized work, the only track containing multiple instrument layers), the Mütex Collection, or the K-PDT: Eirkora netlabel compilation.

Mütex - Mütex Collection
[unknown]
Lo-fi avant-garde keyboard experimentation

A collection of the entire surviving output of the Mütex project (other than the Fraq single, which was released separately, and the "HJB" track, released as part of the K-PDT: Eirkora compilation). Most tracks are around a minute in length, with a few outliers, but all of the tracks are extremely low bitrate and lo-fi, having been recorded simply by placing an mp3 player directly on top of a keyboard's built-in speaker.
